Omaha ranks No. 2 on list of cities with lowest unemployment

According to a new On Numbers analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers, Omaha is a great city of job-seekers.

51 major metro areas had unemployment rates under the national average of 8.3 percent. Omaha’s unemployment rate of 4.7 percent places it firmly below that national average, and second on the list.

Omaha’s thriving economy, innovative local businesses, and strong manufacturing sector have all contributed to the city’s low jobless number.
