Omaha ranks in top 5 in nation for economic activity for the second month in a row
According to the November On Numbers Economic Index, Omaha is No. 5 in the nation for economic activity.
The On Numbers index measures the relative economic vitality of the nation’s largest 102 U.S. metropolitan areas that have more than 500,000 residents.
The index is generated using an 18-part metric that looks at private-sector job growth, unemployment, earnings, housing-price appreciation, construction, and retail activity.
The top cities stood unchanged from last month, with Oklahoma City taking the top spot in the nation, followed by Austin, Tulsa, Houston, and Omaha.
