Omaha named among the top cities for young entrepreneurs
Online magazine Under30CEO has named Omaha the ninth-best city for young entrepreneurs among mid-size cities. The city earned the ranking based on its location in the heart of the Silicon Prairie, and as the home of two universities, the Big Omaha entrepreneurship conference and five Fortune 500 companies, including Berkshire Hathaway.
The mid-size city category, defined by populations between 250,000 and 500,000, was led by Atlanta at No. 1, followed by Raleigh, Cincinnati, Kansas City and St. Louis. Overall, Austin, Texas, was the top large city for under 30 innovators, and Chattanooga, Tenn., landed at No. 1 for best small city.
