12th Hiring Our Heroes job fair held in Lincoln

Veterans and their spouses are invited to a Hiring Our Heroes job fair sponsored by the Nebraska Department of Labor (NDOL), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Nebraska National Guard.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln.

A free employment workshop will be offered just before the event at 8:30 a.m. The workshop will include resume writing, tips for successfully navigating hiring fairs, military skill translation and interviewing.

This is the third Hiring Our Heroes to take place in Lincoln, and more than 75 employers are scheduled to attend.

Both employers and veterans can register for the fair at HoH.GreatJob.net. Veterans and their spouses can register for the employment workshop at hohworks.evenbrite.com.

In addition to Lincoln, past Hiring Our Heroes job fairs have been held in Omaha, Norfolk, Alliance, Holdrege, Papillion, Beatrice and Grand Island. All together, Nebraska has held 12 Hiring Our Heroes fairs.
