Sky is the limit for Duncan Aviation in Lincoln

Duncan Aviation was established in Lincoln in 1956. Nearly six decades later, it is undertaking the most ambitious expansion program in company history, adding two new maintenance hangars and a 95,000-square-foot office and shop space. The economic impact on the Lincoln community is a $12 million capital investment and an eventual total of more than 200 aviation jobs.

The company provides service and support for a variety of aircraft, with a special focus on business aircraft. The new facilities are designed to accommodate increased demand for larger business airplanes.

“We commend Duncan Aviation for their continuous investment in Lincoln, creating high-skilled, excellent-paying jobs,” said Wendy Birdsall, president of the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development. “Lincoln is proud to be home to such a great company that is a leader in their industry.”

Duncan Aviation is already home to more than 1,300 employees and is the largest family-owned aircraft support company in the U.S.

The expansion project in Lincoln was also undertaken with an eye toward green design, a notable innovation in the aviation industry. The new facility sports prismatic skylights, daylight wall panels and heated floors, as well as LED dimming lights.
