The Cornhusker, a Marriott Hotel in Lincoln, received a full renovation that came with an $11 million price tag. A two-year transition in ownership placed the 31-year-old hotel under the Marriott flag.

With its close proximity to the University of Nebraska, the hotel will fill the need for hotel rooms in downtown Lincoln, especially during college football season. Marcus Corp. is a 73 percent owner in the hotel. The company only recently revealed the dollar amount for the renovations.

In addition to the rooms and lobby area receiving a new look and feel, the hotel’s two restaurants were renovated and renamed the Miller Time Pub and Grill and Cafe at The Cornhusker.
