Lincoln publishing company plans new IT facility

Sandhills Publishing, an information processing company based in Lincoln, is set to begin construction on a 21,000-square-foot information technology building on its 68-acre campus. The new building will house 122 employees.

It will be adjacent to the company’s data center, and will bring the total office space in Lincoln to 220,000 square feet. Sandhills has nearly 600 employees.

The new facility will further support the company’s efforts to develop and integrate hosted technologies and mobile applications. It specializes in serving the trucking, agriculture, construction, heavy equipment, aviation and technology industries.

“We have continued to see growth throughout the company in regard to information processing, particularly with the software applications and tools we have developed and are continuing to develop for the markets we serve,” said Vice President of Sales and Marketing Shawn Peed. “This was the reasoning behind building the Data Center two years ago, and now this facility.”

The company plans to break ground on the new building in mid-October.
