Cornhusker Bank plans new headquarters in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. – Cornhusker Bank plans to construct a headquarters building in Lincoln.

The project is set for the northwest corner of 84th and O streets. It is next to a new ALDI grocery store. After initially announcing the Cornhusker Bank building project, additional plans filed with the Lincoln-Lancaster County Planning Department showed the project will be larger than originally planned.

Plans filed with the planning department show a 58,000-square-foot building with office and retail space. There also was mention of plans for a 2,000-square-foot restaurant.

It will replace the current Cornhusker Bank headquarters at 11th Street and Cornhusker Highway, where it has been since 1975. The new headquarters is set to open in 2016.
