Game Shoppe not playing games with Omaha expansion

OMAHA, Neb. – Game Shoppe, the Bellevue-based retailer, is expanding by opening a larger store in Omaha.

The new store will allow the shop to offer additional product lines to include puzzles and brain teasers. The store carries about 1,500 games of all types. It also will have a library that will include hundreds of games that customers can try before they buy.

Due to customer requests, owner Norm Herrick decided to open the Omaha store because no other store of its type can be found in the northwest part of the city. The new Game Shoppe is in Hillsborough West Plaza at 144th Street and W. Maple Road.

In addition to old favorites like Monopoly and Scrabble, the store carries strategy games like Settlers of Catan.
