Nebraska great place to get a job, poll shows

OMAHA, Neb. – Nebraska continues to rank among the nation’s top states for  job creation, according to a new report from Gallup.

The poll found the state ranked third last year when looking at the hiring climate in states around the country. It was based on a poll of employees who were asked if their employer added jobs or reduced jobs last year.

The results included responses from 1,730 workers in the state. Of those polled, 40 percent said they were working for a company that was looking to hire additional workers. Another 45 percent reported that their workplace staff numbers were unchanged. Only nine percent reported layoffs in 2014.
