Dickey’s BBQ spells success for Lincoln native

LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln native Will Carter has been so successful with his Dickey’s Barbecue Pit restaurants that he is opening a fourth store in his hometown. The store will open on Feb. 19 as part of a three-day celebration.

The store will be located at 8222 Holdrege St.

“Lincoln is a growing city with a lot of businesses and the University of Nebraska which is great for a fast casual concept,” Carter said. “Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has been extremely successful here and I’ve been lucky to have the support of the brand.”

Carter plans to reward the first 50 guests with gift cards worth up to $50. Other promotions will include additional gift cards and free barbecue for a year for three winners.

“We love to see franchise success stories like Will Carter,” said Roland Dickey Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue. “It’s exciting to see his growth in the community and with our brand.”
