Bellhops rings up 40-60 Omaha jobs

OMAHA, Neb. – Bellhops, a moving service staffed by college students, plans to expand to Omaha and hire 40-60 employees. The company has been in Lincoln for about a year and has a staff of about 60.

Those looking for movers can book the service via the Internet or a smartphone app. The company touts its flexibility in scheduling. Customers can book the service for a minimum of one hour, and can change or cancel a reservation with no fees.

Bellhops completes a background check on all of its employees. Those hired then can go to a website operated by the company to find a job. Each is paid by the size of the job and, on average, make $15 per hour plus tips.

While it does provide the movers, the company does not provide vehicles. Customers must secure their own moving truck or van.
