Bobby’s Dancewear doubles size of Omaha store

OMAHA, Neb. — Bobby’s Dancewear, a store in business since 1963, is expanding into a new space at Baker’s Square shopping center.

Owner Melissa Jewell purchased the business in 2006. Three years ago, she moved it to Baker’s Square. Since then, the store has grown to the point where it needed additional space. Jewell expanded in December with the purchase of the Dance Shoppe. With that purchase, she now carries Capezio and Bloch dance shoes.

The new space, in 3,700 square feet, will include an area specifically for fitting pointe shoes.
